About Montgomery, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Montgomery, Texas is a city within the Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land Metro Area. It is a small community with only about 650 residents, and it is found in Montgomery County. Located about 50 miles inland from the Gulf Coast, Montgomery is about 15 miles from Conroe and 50 miles from Houston.  Montgomery is known as one of the oldest communities in Texas, beginning as a trading post in 1826. The city is also recognized as the birthplace of the state’s Long Star Flag.

There are several interesting places to visit in Montgomery. Fernland Historical Park features some of the oldest artifacts and structures in Texas, and historical markers can be viewed at local buildings like the Davis Cottage and Museum, the Shelton-Smith House, and the Old Montgomery Baptist Church. There are several delicious restaurants in Montgomery, including the Cozy Grape, Phil’s Roadhouse and Grill, and The Eatery at Hodge Podge Lodge. Plus, unique shopping opportunities are available at The Rancher’s Daughter, Sweet Texas Treasure Boutiques, and Ruthie Grace Boutique.

Montgomery is known for its humid subtropical climate zone. Winter weather here is mild, which attracts plenty of visitors to the region during this time of the year. Daily high temperatures average at about 60 degrees Fahrenheit, while daily lows average at 40 degrees Fahrenheit. These temperature drops require a way to stay warm at home, and residents may choose between a dual-action heat pump or a gas or electric furnace.

Summer weather in Montgomery can be dangerous due to sweltering temperatures, and the season is long. Average daily highs reach about 94 degrees, but thermostat readings in the triple digits are common, as well. An air conditioning system with a high SEER rating is a wise investment in the reason, as these units get a lot of use throughout the year. A system with a high SEER score will operate more efficiently than other units, saving residents on their monthly cooling costs.
